Gramacho Golf Course

The Gramacho golf course was originally a nine hole golf course originally designed by Ronald Fream and the former number one golfer in the world Nick Price. It has now been redesigned and extended to eighteen holes.

The golf course has twenty seven greens with a variety of different teeing off points which allow players to use the Gramacho golf course time and time again without losing interest. The golf course is constantly maintained at championship standards throughout the year.

The overall design will ensure that players are technically challenged and will need to make the correct club selection making it ideal for intermediate players to learn the more technical aspects of golf that said it really does offer something for all except the outright novice.

Part of the charm is that while being challenged in your game you are also taking a walk through the countryside, with its dry stone walls, outcrops of natural stone and ancient woodland areas gives you a feeling of traditional Portuguese countryside. Added to these natural features are the wonderfully positioned lakes and the well positioned bunkers.

Apart from adding to the technical challenges of the Gramacho golf course they also make this golf course a very attractive place to be.

Facilities available at the Gramacho gold course include: Bar restaurant, Tennis, Lawn Bowling, Golfing academy, Driving range, Chipping green, Football, Basketball and golf shop.

There are a number of hotels surrounding the Gramacho golf course and there are also a number of apartments and villas that overlook the golf course. The town of Carvoeira is only a few minutes away and has a beautiful beach, a number of shops, supermarkets, restaurants and bars. Also a short distance away is the aqua park in Lagoa which is a great day out for all the family.
