Parque da Floresta Golf Club.
Is one of the most remote of the Algarve Golf Courses it is certainly the most westerly. This golf course has seen major improvements over the years and is now a challenging as well as beautiful golf course. This imaginative par 71, 18 hole golf course was designed by the famous Spanish architect Pepe Gancedo. He used the natural terrain as far as was possible and this has added to the natural beauty of the whole golf resort. The golf course measures 5,712 meters from start to end.
The Parque da Floresta Golf Course is extremely hilly and contains a number of blind holes and slanting fairways, there is a good mixture of lies both downhill and uphill. Even the easy looking 5th has a nasty surprise if you do not hit the green first time it is situated on a steep sided plateau and is not easy coming from a second shot.
The whole of the resort is next to the Costa Vincentian Nature Reserve and is laid out over sandy beaches, picturesque fishing villages and beautiful countryside. Lovely town houses and luxury villas surround the golf course. Guests who are staying in the resort properties are generally entitled to discounts for the golf course as well as other facilities on the resort.
There are a range of facilities on the resort which include practice green, pro shop, driving range, trolley hire, buggy hire, club hire and four restaurants which encompass a wide range of culinary experiences.
